Happy Easter!!

Hi and welcome to the fourth day of BEDA. Today is a pretty special day because it is Easter.

So last night, I had the worse time ever trying to fall asleep. I went to bed at 11pm but did not fall asleep till about 2 am and woke up about 4 am. I have no idea why this happened at all. I finally got up at 5:15 to get ready for mass. Mass was at 6:3o in the morning and is usually outside but not this year. It was kind of misting and wet so we had to be inside so that no one would get electrocuted. After mass, we went to get some donuts. Both of my parents are on a diet so my dad did not want any donuts. So when we went in, we bought him a donut hole but the lady ended up giving us three instead.

For the afternoon, we went over to my cousin's house. We played this game called pictionary telephone. You play by having a stack of paper for each person that is playing. On the first sheet of paper, you write down a simple sentence. You then pass the stack to the next person. They look at the sentence and then put that sheet at the back of the stack. Then draw the sentence on the next piece of paper. Then again it is passed to the next person. That person then looks at the picture and then puts the paper at the back of the stack. On a new piece of paper they write what they believe is going on in the picture. This continues until everyone receives their original stack back. You go through everything starting with your original sentence all the way to the end to see how different it is. That was so much fun. At one point, I was laughing so hard that I started to cry.

We then stuffed our faces full of tons of food and deserts. The younger kids then went swimming while the rest of us watch some TV sort of. After a while we watched Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. We watched this because my cousin knew the family sort of through friends and their home school group. It was a family of 15 who live in Kemah. They lost their house from Ike last year. All of 15 of them were living in a trailer for 18 months. Most of the children were not there own flesh and blood. They adopted children that no one else wanted. Ones that had special needs. They took these children in and gave no thought to them being different. The youngest daughter's name was Mercy. She was 2 years old and had to have oxygen and be feed through a tube. She could not see and could not smell. She was the cutest baby every. When they built the house, the put special accommodations in for her and her brother that was very similar to her. As they roll the credits, it pops up that she died 2 weeks after they filmed this. It was so sad to see her survive through so much and then have her taken away from us after she was given what she needed. She died due to complications of what she had. It was just so sad to this beautiful girl's face for 2 hours and then know she is no longer here. This just stinks so much.

Love ya,
Christina
