And It Begins

Hello new year. It is so great to see you.

I hope that everyone had an excellent night last night. I know that I did even though there was some shaky parts to my night.

I was really excited because my extended family usually will get together on NYE and have a party. I really wanted it to be at my house since we just moved and no one had seen our house. For awhile my dad was against this idea because he wanted the house to be ready. Finally, as we unpacked our last box earlier this week he agreed. Everything wasn't perfect and we had pictures leaning against the wall waiting to be hung up but we were going to have the party at our house.

It was very last minute, so we rush to clean the house and buy food and everything else we needed for it. We hung up the dart board outside and went off to church.

We were pretty surprised to see a lot of our family there because they had said they were going to come to our house later. After church, I noticed that my Grandma was still seating and everyone was starting to gather around her. It turns out that her heart rate has risen and it was beating like crazy. No one wanted to take any chances so my uncle and aunt to her to the ER.

The rest of us went back to my house. We tried to carry on like nothing was wrong but we were all really nervous. My poor mom had no idea what is going on because her and my sister are in Florida for the Capital One Bowl. My sister was selected to perform at the half time show. We did not want to call her until we knew any thing.

Several hours later we find out that they had run some tests and they could not find anything wrong. Her heart rate had gone down but not to where it should be so they kept her over night just to keep an eye on it.

My uncle than came to our house and we continued on like normal knowing that she was going to be ok.

We had a great time doing what we usually do. Play video games, card games, and board games. We watched Dick Clark's Rocking New Year until 11 our time when it then switched over to Houston's NYE celebration. At midnight we ran outside screaming like the mad people we are.

Pretty much, I love how awesome my family is.

And if you are wondering, my Grandma is fine and they let her go home this afternoon.

Love ya,
Christina
