The point of this is the fact that I have a problem with keep up my pace of the elliptical. I get tired after a while and want to slow down. I have such a hard time to keep myself at the same speed I was already going. There are days that I like to go for an hour at the time so it can be hard to keep myself motivate for the whole time. I have tried listening to music but I often want to follow the beat of the music and that changes from song to song I am listening. The next thing for me is to watch TV but then I lose interest during commercials and slow down.
So today, I brought my iPad with me to the gym so that I could read. I have my kindle app on there and read. I did also listen to music in the background just to drown out everything else around me. I do have to say that it really did help me. I kept up with the pace I was going at for an hour. I don't know because I am currently rereading The Hunger Games and that had me pumped or just the fact that I was reading. I am going to have to try this out again to know for sure.
